The short version
No ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers, here or in the games. Each game stores only what it needs to run, and deletes the rest on a schedule.
Last updated October 2026.
This website
- No accounts, no forms, no cookies.
- If you turn the keyboard-shortcut setting off, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles your requests the way any web host does.
Zero Door Protocol
Asking for an invite
- The request form asks for a name, an email address, and, if you like, who you know in the game.
- The email is used only to send your invite code.
- Your email and the "who you know" answer are deleted 30 days after your request is answered.
Your account
- An account is a handle and a password. The password is stored only as a salted scrypt hash, never as the password itself.
- Accounts hold no real name and no email address.
- The sign-in cookie works only on the game's own address. It isn't shared with this site or anything else.
Playing
- Your progress is saved on the game's server, along with up to 20 earlier copies, so a lost save can be restored.
- Board posts, reports and moderation records are kept to run the game. Reviewed word-filter flags are deleted after 90 days; resolved reports and closed messages after 180 days.
- Messages you send to the operators include the game version and your browser, to help with bug reports.
- Some characters on the in-game DarkNet board are AI. When you talk to them, your message is sent from the game's server to Anthropic's API to write their reply.
